We were in a small Beer Hall U Vejvodu drinking traditional Czech Beer. As groups of people were leaving the bar we asked them to take our photo. They asked where we were from and said America. We got to talking and they remain for another drink. They were quite friendly and that one beer turned out to be many, many, more befor the night ended...

Stan and Jana are from the Czech Republic. Stan's brother-in-law who is from Norway was visiting with his wife and father. They insisted we join them at a very traditional Czech beer hall and enjoyed a few hours at this very rustic restaurant. The highlight was the man walking from table to table playing songs on his according. Once the accordion player found out we were American he  played a handful of familiar American numbers.

Turns out Stan and Jana were accomplished athletes. Jana played for the Czech Republic Women's Basketball team and has been to the states to play various college and Olympic teams. Stan was the Czech Republic 400m track and field Champion and his father was a part of the Czech Olympic Team in Atlanta as a Track and Field sports trainer.

Needless to say it was a very fun evening and saw a part of Prague that's not in the Tour Books...

Vic and her new Norwegian Friend: Stan's Brother in Law's - father
who did not speak a lick of English, but had no problem communicating with us.
Duncan from Kenya and Robert from the Czech Republic were two our favorite Barmen that we met.
Very helpful and accommodating while we were in Prague.

Though I can not remember his name this fellow rented us our car. Traffic was so crazy that he suggested that he drive the car out of Prague for us and then took a tram back to the office.
Great service from the staff of Continental Rent a Car -  Visit Web Page.

And Last but not least.... Prague Airport Shuttle ... Mike who picked us up and Chris who dropped us back to the Airport were awesome. Both are from the USA, but have lived in Prague from over 15 years. They are very knowledgeable and gave us great insight on the city of Prague - where to go - where not to go. Where to have dinner and where to have a beer. If you're going to Prague - you need to use their service - check out their Web Page by clicking HERE
