Prague is the capitol city of the Czech Republic, which is at the very central of Europe with Germany, Poland, Russia and Austria as its neighbours. The history of the Infant Jesus of Prague started in the 17th century when a statue of the Infant Jesus was brought into Bohemia (now Czech Republic) and eventually was given to the Discalced Carmelites in Prague. Since then, the statue has remained in Prague and has drawn many devotees worldwide to go and honor the Holy Child. Many graces, blessings, favors and miraculous healings have been received by many who petitioned before the Infant Jesus.
The exact origin of the Infant Jesus statue was not truly known, but historical sources point to a small 28cm high sculpture of the Holy Child with a bird in his right hand carved in around the year 1340.

In memory of my most beloved mother
Catherine Elise Baugnon Lynch
In times of spiritual need our mother would call upon the
Novena Payer of the Infant of Prague.

On April 9th I was able to pay tribute to my mother and say the Novena Payer at the base of the Holy Child's alter after attending a Czech Mass and receiving Holy Communion by a priest from the Community of Discalced Carmelite Fathers in the Church of ST. ANTONY OF PADUA

INFANT OF PRAGUE NOVENA PRAYER

O Jesus, Who has said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened," through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

(Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name, He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted.

(Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away but My word shall not pass away," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

(Make your request)
Below is a short movie taken during mass at ST. ANTONY OF PADUA church and the Infant of Prague. Having attended Mass in the USA, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Spain, England, Portugal, San Juan PR, and the Netherlands I have never experienced a more holier and beautiful voice that that of the sister who sang the communion hymn.
