The one thing we liked best about Sorrento - the people. When a community like Sorrento relies heavily on tourism, those in the industry can become jaded with all the tourist. Not this town located on the Southern Coast of Italy. Here it was Christmas Day and the owners of Ceramica Artistica were just getting ready to close for their holiday meal. As we were looking around their shop they asked where we were from and told them the States... when Mrs. Coppola found out I was in the tourism industry, she was so excited that she phoned her son Antonio, who owns a hotel in Duluth, MI - who turned out to be a very nice Italian/American who gave us some great pointers about the city where he was raised. Can't wait to return for a visit.

For our Christmas present we purchased this Hand Painted 6-piece Ceramic Tile of the Bay of Sorrento that now hangs nicely in our home.
